Megan, age 13, who has repeated stated how dumb racing is, finally took a test drive in a go-kart. Guess what? She loved
it. While she isn't ready to race the "big" races, she has a great time at the club races. (Kansas City Karting
Association, KCKA at Liberty, MO)
The same week she had her first kiss, she raced her first go-kart race. After
the race, her dad, and crew chief, flipped up the visor and asked her, "What is better, kart racing or kissing boys?"
Her answer, "Kart racing!" Enough said, she now has her own kart and has raced a couple more races. We believe this
will be a good investment.
Her lap times continue to improve. She still wants her brother to attach sidewalk chalk
to the rear of his kart, so she can learn his exact line. He refuses to do that, but together they are helping each other.
Gregory showing Megan some finer points of driving, and Megan helping in the pits at some of Gregory's races. (Finally
something they can agree on.)
